This is my third year teaching for Round Rock ISD and my second year teaching 4th grade! I have taught 3rd grade my first three years of teaching. I absolutely love teaching and I try to make learning fun and meaningful to all my students. I enjoy building strong and meaningful relationships with my students. Our classroom is a safe environment where students feel respected and a sense of belonging. I am truly blessed to be doing something that I have a strong passion for!
Here is a little about my background: I grew up in Austin, Texas. I am a product of Round Rock ISD. I went to Jollyville Elementary, Deer Park Middle School, and McNeil High School. After high school I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where I earned my bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies in Education. I taught my first two years in Temple, Texas at an Internationale Baccalaureate campus. I am a lifelong learner! I am constantly finding new ways to teach students and become the best teacher that I can!
I got married a little over year ago to my high school sweetheart. We have two pets; one dog and one cat, that we spoil rotten! Shaddie, who is a Scottish Healer and Presley, who is a tuxedo kitty. They absolutely adore each other and love to chase one another around the house. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing board games, watching movies, doing arts and crafts, eating at some of my favorite restaurants, fishing with my husband, and going on long scenic walks.
I am looking forward to working with my students and parents to make this a successful positive year! If you have any questions, concerns, or just need some advise on how to help your child, please let me know.
